The announcement and the awarding of the filmmakers for their movies will take place on December 4th 2021 from 2.30pm at the Kino Pilotů cinema (Donská 19/168, Praha 10). The whole award ceremony will be streamed online via our web and social media. Throughout whole afternoon you will be accompanied by the host and singer Jana Rychterová. Our honorable jury such as Jana Hojdová or Jan Tuna and more will be handing over the awards.
Our jury was reviewing 170 films and the awards will be handed in the following categories:
Fictional films: there were 49 movies in the competition (29 foreign movies and 20 Czech ones) in four age categories, 14 of them will be awarded: 10 prizes were awarded from 1st to 3rd prize. Four honorable prizes were awarded as well.
Documentaries: there were 34 movies in the competition (28 foreign movies and 6 Czech ones) in three age categories (we did not receive any movies in the first category A – movies made by children up to 10 years of age), 10 of them will be awarded, there will be 6 awards in total for 1st to 3rd prize. Four honorable prizes were awarded as well.
Animated movies: there were 59 movies altogether in the competition (22 foreign movies and 37 Czech ones) in four age categories, 13 of them will be awarded (8 of them were awarded 1st to 3rd prize and an honorable mention has not been awarded).
Experimental movies: there were 15 movies in the competition (7 foreign movies and 8 Czech ones) in three age categories (we did not receive any movies in the category B – movies made by filmmakers aged 11-14), 4 films will be awarded 1st prizes and there were four honorable mentions.
Others category (music videos, jingles, ads etc.): there were 13 videos (3 foreign movies and 10 Czech ones) there were competing in 4 age categories and 6 of them will receive an award (2 of them will receive first prizes and the others will receive honorable mentions).
Apart from these prizes, we will also give audience awards for the best movie (1st, 2ndand 3rdprize), best Czech movie made with the help of school, best Czech film made outside of school, best foreign movie, and we will award the two main prizes of the festival: Vojtěch Jasný award and Ben Barenholtz award.
In the standard categories we will awards 30 prizes in total and 17 honorable mentions, in special categories we will award 8 prizes and 3 of them is the audience award.
The estimated ending of the ceremony is at 5pm. After that there will be a small after party in the area of the cinema.
