When a grandpa comes to live with his son's family, everything seems to be going well at first but gradually he loses his strenght. The bond of a loving family is thus tested by forthcoming complications brought on by taking care of another family member. The film draws inspiration from Jan Neruda's poem The Grandpa's Bowl (Dědova mísa)
